Bianca Megaro

Bianca is a New York City based dancer, choreographer, and educator. She graduated from City University of New York – Hunter College with a BA in Dance and a MA in Dance Education and currently holds a New York State Teaching License in K-12 Dance.

 

As an independent choreographer, Bianca has presented her work at the Multipurpose Dance Project and Dance Astoria in addition to producing her own full-length show entitled Dancin’. Additionally, she has served as a production assistant for projects such as Dance Worx (Hunter College Dance Company), Calle Soul (Soul Dance Co), and SPLIT (Joshua Pacheco in association with Hunter College). Her performance credit include work with Carmel Lorie Dance Company, Joshua Pacheco Dance Theater, Precision Plus Dance Ensemble- Dancer’s Responding to Aids Stars of Tomorrow, original works by Troy Powell of Ailey II, and Pedro Ruiz’s Window Project.

 

In addition to actively auditioning and producing her own work, she teaches class in NYC public schools, dance studios, as well as several after school and summer programs both in person and virtually. At the core of Bianca’s dancing and teachings is the belief that all bodies are dance bodies.
