Prop, Stage, and Venue Safety
Our Commitment
In preparation for our national dance tour, World-Class Talent Experience, Inc. has implemented comprehensive procedures designed to provide the safest possible competition environment for our studios, dancers, spectators, and staff.
Stage & Prop Safety Policies
General props are permitted. It is the sole responsibility of each studio to ensure all props are safely and efficiently transported on and off the stage.
Props must be fully assembled and disassembled within two (2) minutes.
Failure to comply will result in a five-point (-5) deduction.
All "Human" props MUST be registered to compete in that routine, and will count towards Routine Size. Other requiremnets will be applied in line with registration.
For safety reasons, prop construction is not permitted backstage.
Any prop that elevates an artist more than four (4) feet off the ground must include appropriate safety and fall-protection measures.
The following are strictly prohibited:
Dangerous or hazardous props (including but not limited to swords, fire, or weapons)
Live animals
Liquids
Special effects, including haze, fog, or lasers (unless approved—see below)
Fog machines are permitted only with prior written approval from WCTE and the venue.
Approval requests must be submitted no later than two (2) weeks prior to the event date.
Dancers may not exit or jump from the front or sides of the stage at any time during a WCTE event, including during performances.
Studios are financially responsible for any damage to the stage, Marley flooring, or venue equipment.
Assumption of Risk and Liability
Artists, studio directors, instructors, and parents/guardians acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with performing, staging, and handling props on and off the stage and within the venue.
By participating in a WCTE event, all parties agree that World-Class Talent Experience, Inc. and the hosting facility are not responsible for personal injury, property damage, or loss that may occur during the event.
We look forward to welcoming you and cannot wait to BE INSPIRED!
